8. Nurse Ratched (Louise Fletcher) “One flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest”:

In the 1975 movie the nurse played by Louise Fletcher has more than just manipulation up her sleeve. The character was initially based on someone who likes to twist things around like a “Ratchet” and even her name has close similarity to “Rat shed” meaning the author wanted the character to have rat-like qualities. The character in the movie did just that and has depicted not only a manipulative nurse who takes her time turning the patients against each other but also enjoys the result of her twisted plots. Talk about sadism.
