When there were no bridges in Netherlands, its inhabitants found a rather extreme and fun way to jump them using a huge stick. It’s more or less a less disciplined version of the pole vault and the main objective is basically to get as far as you can. The participant who reaches the greatest distance is the winner of the event. A man who can jump more than 20 meters, for sure, should be competing in the Olympics and not in this kind of events.
