9.Belgium, Flanders Fields:
If you want to indulge in a little bit of history while touring Europe but stay close to where the action is, then you should head n to Belgium and visit Flanders Fields. Located only 100km from the capital of Brussels, the fields tell the story of the soldiers that fought for their country in World War I. This site was a major battlefield and the cemetery and memorial that were constructed on the site pay homage to the many who died here. The hundreds of vibrant colored poppies decorating the site make this a must see on any European tour. When you’re done touring Flanders Fields and the cemetery you can take a quick trick to Brussels, only an hour away to enjoy world-class dining and nightlife.
