The best action anime based on Ranker, Attack on Titan, is truly a ground-breaking anime. After his hometown is ruined and his mother is killed, young Eren Jaegar promises to cleanse the earth of the giant humanoid Titans that have brought humanity to the brink of extinction. This is really a fantastic anime on many levels: the narrative, the imagery, the vision, and the air. The simple premise of dumb giants that consume people might seem silly and even gruesome on paper, but watching it leaves one with a far different feeling.
